We want to create a new ark full of joy, encourage exchanges, nurture creativity, and be full of vitality. Here, young people representing the future of Chinese cities can immerse themselves in the atmosphere of art, sports, and scientific innovation without interruption.

The project base is located in the east of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, by the beautiful Dapeng Bay. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides, open and flat in the middle, and facing the sea on the other side. The 1,800-meter sandy beach of Dameisha Seaside Park, a 5A-level tourist scenic spot in Guangdong Province, is embedded between this ring of Biyihai Road.

Based on the concept of the knowledge ark between the mountains and the sea, we emphasize the vitality and innovation of the academy on the basis of echoing the Meisha environment. While creating a corridor of sight, we provide the dormitory with more lighting and visual environment for dialogue, retreat and exchange space.

The three courtyards in the whole building are connected by interesting space bridges. The multi-functional classrooms are more flexible, convenient, experiential and manageable separately between the east and west dormitories. An active second-floor public platform is created for students to communicate and the public to carry out cultural and sports activities. From the central square, it gathers and diverts into the gymnasium, performance hall, and restaurant on the first and negative floors; the whole building is constructed with modular equipment; the building finally presents a place with rich art, vitality and rich experience of Shanhai Academy.
